4K TO 1080P DVB-T WITH IR RETURN PATH
Accepts up to 4K single input MPEG-4 (H.264) HDMI loop-through to 1080p HDTV DVB-T modulator RF output. Featuring an LCD menu display and improved modulation error ratio (MER), the Q4K-R1 allows you to distribute any 4K HD source around a home or business over coax with ease. Input resolutions of 576i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, UHD, 4K, and works with both 2K/8K carriers. Users can adjust settings through a web interface and remote management is enabled via a PC.
Trouble shooting: If you have connected the Q4K-R1 to your system and lost free to air (FTA) TV reception, then: The difference in FTA antenna signal and the higher modulator output can have a detrimental effect on your FTA reception. You can attenuate the signal using the blue "Gain" control at the back of the modulator. In rare cases, this may not fully fix the issue. In this case, we can send you (please enquire) an attenuator that screws on to the RF output of the modulator. New model now accepts a 4K signal and will loop-through that same signal, however, modulated signal is still limited to 1080P, due to the limitations with TV tuners. While the Q4K-R1 is not the first 4K modulator on the market, it's the first stable 4K modulator. The Q4K-R1 supports Resi-linx IR targets and emitters. Resi-linx are the market leader in both IR and modulation and the only brand to have Foxtel approved product in both fields. This unit has full menu via LCD display, improved MER resulting in higher quality picture and is configurable for New Zealand. Q4K-R1 allows you to distribute any HD source around your home/business installation over coax cable and control with ease.
